FYI For Your Information - Walmart Adding 10,000 Jobs, Investing $6.8 Billion in US Stores by Jack Davis. Walmart announced Tuesday that it will create 10,000 jobs and invest $6.8 billion in its U.S. operations, drawing a cheer from President-elect Donald Trump. Walmart said its plans to create 59 new or relocated Walmart and Sam’s Club stores would create 24,000 construction jobs. The jobs Walmart promised would come from those new stores and increased e-commerce services. Trump had promised in his campaign that he would make job creation a centerpiece of his administration. “With a presence in thousands of communities and a vast supplier network, we know we play an important role in supporting and creating American jobs,” said Dan Bartlett, Walmart executive vice president for corporate affairs. “Our 2017 plans to grow our business — and our support for innovation in the textile industry — will have a meaningful impact across the country,” he said. Walmart employs about 1.5 million people across the nation. Trump noted Walmart’s plan Tuesday on Twitter. Trump noted that the new job announcement is part of a larger pattern. Walmart is one of several companies to announce job increases this month. Amazon has promised to create 100,000 new jobs in the United States. Automakers Ford, GM and Fiat Chrysler have all also unveiled plans to grow U.S. jobs and expand U.S. plants. Collectively, the three automakers have proposed investing $2.7 billion in U.S. plants and creating 2,700 jobs source: http://www.westernjournalism.com/walmart-adding-10000-jobs-investing-billions-in-us-stores/ For Your Information - FYI https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHjPJKvDFJ1IRAshK2YEjcQ https://youtu.be/OotOijCm1S8
