That all sounds complex and a far out concept... But think of it like this… Here we have a £20 note that is in its paper form. We can see the serial number in two different places. Now take away the paper and we have a serial number, a piece of code which is encrypted to track that mode of payment. Bare in mind it is difficult to track because it is in the external world. But none the less, this serial number will be located in the Bank of England's records. This is exactly the same as crypto currencies, except there is no physical form, it is completely digitalized. Why have crypto currency, what is the point? They are essentially a payment solution with a decentralized method, meaning they have no third party restrictions. I am already involved in the digital currency space and I can see benefits already. No cost to move my money around, no credit card fees, wiring fees, less time to move money and with greater stability, what I mean by stability is for example, me not putting it in a bank and them lending it out. In America and Britain only 10-15% of the money in the economy is in physical or paper form. The rest is completely digitalized. We are in a digital era and the stage is perfectly set for crypto currencies to be a huge player in the 80 trillion dollars worth of money that moves around the world each year. The internet has completely changed the world, there is no denying that. The way we move likely will move towards the lightning speed we move information, because as we can see, most of the money in the world is now in a digital numerical representation.
