Sorry bro, I'm not padding myself on the back but my collection, really, is at least triple that size. I had to buy two huge heavy duty shelving system racks to put "most" of them on(in the garage). I bought so many that I actually got total burnout on Legos! My advice is this.... 1) Buy the biggest & most unique ones. Star Wars is always good but sets like the Sydney Opera House are a true investment. I currently own & built the Original Statue of Liberty (3450), Cloud City, Eiffel Tower (10181) & many more including the infamous Millennium Falcon(10179) which I did sell. Couldn't pass it up, I needed the money. Besides, there was a rumor of a return??2) Don't become too attached to them. After a while, they become almost a fixation that you have to get them all! Keep it simple as much as possible. If you really like a set, buy 2 with one to keep. 3) Watch Walmart, Target, Costco & yes even ebay since you can always find somewhere a decent price on a newer set. If you can swing it, buying a set a week works good. Just watch for the deals. Remember, the money is on toys so at least, unlike the stock market, you have something tangible in your hand. Have fun!

People buy the set. -2018: Lego realizes people keep buying the set no matter if it is a 50% over the original price. -2019: Lego resell the same set for 150€. -2020: people complain about lego prices. You're daft. What you've done is give away how to make money through investing. The reason items like the old lego star wars UCS sets and others are so collectable is because no one knew they would become so rare apart from a small minority.
