Kiyosaki: great book but he made more on books and seminars than he ever did on real estate - no track record at all of him being successfull before the books.
What is the use of these courses? All it takes is common sense.
Rule 1. Live with in your means. 2. Income - Savings = Expenses (as long as your income does not leave you hand to mouth). 3. Try to save 30% or more of your income every month, and invest it in high growth assets like shares of good companies, rental properties, high interest deposits, etc. Ensure your portfolio is diversified.
That's about it. One needs to reach a savings basket in 10-15 years time frame where even a conservative interest payout of 2-6% per annum on your principal that is saved, is sufficient to take care of all your expenses.
When just 3-4% of your principal saved and invested, is sufficient to manage your entire years expenses, that is when you can declare financial independence!
For doing this, one does not need anybody but common sense!
