World Coin Collection (World Currency)

...................................Welcome to Currency World.............................. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone! Today I will be doing some reminiscing with a part of my childhood coin collection. This collection features a variety of U.S. and foreign coins. There are also a few interesting silver pieces sprinkled in the mix. This collection probably has a greater nostalgic value than it does monetary, but I hope you guys enjoy it. 8. that was a great collection for being so young not many kids ever came close to my collection but that was very similar. I am shocked that you still have it. I still have mine as well but never had them all together in one album like that. It doesn't look like you kept collecting though I looked at your list of videos and it looks like it is all currency or did you keep collecting coins too? I have a real nice collection because I would hardly ever let go of anything and was collecting every chance I got and I think I have one of the largest coin collections on YouTube.  Thanks for sharing
  9. Once again...excellent video and great world currency!

Yes, that glare is a pain...I know. I guess that when coin flips and plastic pages came onto the market, they didn't anticipate that collectors would someday be making videos!?!?

I, too, have that 1937 Nazi coin with Paul Hindenburg; and, I have an ancient coin from the Byzantine Empire. I could be wrong, but, I believe that the rule is that if a British coin doesn't specifically read the name of a colony, i.e. - Fiji; Australia; New Zealand; Bermuda; Gibraltar; etc...it's of England.

I haven't really looked at my childhood coin collection since the early 1980s, except to find that I need new pages as they're beginning to tear. But, I also realized, like with your collection marked with old and low prices from years ago, just may be worth quite a lot more now. At a yard sale, for $1.00, my Son just bought a sandwich bag full of France 1 Franc coins (14 of them) from 1960 to 1977; and, the 1960 versions in good shape is selling for as high as $759.00 on Ebay!?!? I couldn't believe it...I almost fell off my chair!

Also included in the bag were a Romanian 1 Leu coin (1966); Netherlands 1 Gulden with Queen Beatrix (1984); and, some France 2 Franc coins...as well as two 1950s England 1 Shilling coins...one with a young Elizabeth and one with an old George.

Awesome video and collection - please, keep them coming! :)
